Crafting the first impression and guiding new members on their LinkedIn journey

Since October 2023, I lead the design for LinkedIn's guest experience and onboarding flow. This role involves shaping the front door experiences for LinkedIn, encompassing:

  • Guest experience for first-time visitors

  • SEO and member acquisition

  • Sign-in and sign-up flows

  • Comprehensive onboarding process

  • Member retention strategies, with a focus on infrequent users

Our team designs experiences for both US and international markets, considering specific prioritized segments. Current focus areas include:

  1. Seamless login experience

  2. New member guidance systems

Prior to this role, I contributed to designing the settings page in compliance with the European Union's Digital Markets Act (DMA). This project involved extensive testing of DMA-compliant features with customers and industry stakeholders.

I also designed LinkedIn desktop app experience optimized for Windows devices.

As the design lead for this team, my work plays a pivotal role in creating positive first impressions and guiding new members through their LinkedIn journey. By focusing on both acquisition and retention, we aim to enhance the overall user experience and drive engagement across diverse user segments and markets.
